I think this drink crosses the line from "extreme" to dangerous. I didn't go to the hospital, but the lesson I learned that night will keep me from ever touching another energy drink. As the drink wore off, it went down, but I genuinely thought I was having a heart attack.

My heart rate when the paramedics came was 136. Then my jaw felt as if it were pounding, my head started throbbing and my shoulder hurt. I have heard that a majority of heart attacks happen at night but figured it was a panic attack. I was hyperfocused for the remainder of that day and then chest pain set in.

Not only have they upped the amino acid profile, but also, the caffeine has been increased. Vegetable juice makes it red instead of the infamous red dye. It was nice to see no artificial flavors or colors in Rockstar XDurance. It has a light flavor and is moderately sweet with a mild artificial sweetener aftertaste. A Blueberry Marathon in My MouthĪlthough XDurance is blueberry, pomegranate, and acai flavored, the dominant flavor is definitely blueberry. The following review was for the original Xdurance not the 300 mg/can version. Rockstar XDurance is the most caffeinated energy drink from Rockstar. Note: Now Xdurance also comes in a 24 fl oz can with 400 mg of caffeine per can! Be extra careful with this one. The latest version of Xdurance is Rockstar's attempt to compete with Bang Energy Drink which has exploded in popularity.
